Crane races!
If you’re interested in a bit of friendly competition, we have our club crane race series that takes place from Spring to Autumn.
Once a month we gather, mix up crews and do timed pieces between the Fairbairn Steam Crane and the pipe (near the Cottage Inn).
Out of harbour rowing
Mainly in the warmer months we row out of the harbour and experience more of Bristol along the water.
A trip to Beeses along the River Avon with a stop for lunch is a club favourite. We can also go further up to the Hanham Lock or even under the Suspension Bridge and down to Shirehampton!
Social maintenance and clean-up rows
BGC is fortunate to have access to 4 plastic boats and 3 wooden boats however these boats and our other equipment requires maintenance.
At BGC everyone likes to muck in and help keep our equipment fresh and the harbour clean. What better way than pairing it with the chance for a social get together?
