Group Events

Bristol Gig Club’s group rowing experience is the perfect outdoor activity for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Whether you’re a competitive bunch, love the outdoors or looking for something to take your mind of a growing hangover we’ve got you covered. And what better way to see Bristol that from the Harbour!

Truly an event to remember, our team of qualified British Rowing coaches and senior athletes offer an exhilarating and rewarding experience that will be talked about for years to come!

£250 per boat

Duration approximately 2 hours

Up to 6 people per boat (up to 3 boats available). Additional option of having an experience rower join and option to have a pilot come in the boat but not row.

• The group will meet to prepare the boats for the outing

• A background of the sport will be delivered on land along with some basic technical coaching.

• We then take to the water to try rowing for the first time.

• On the water we’ll do some fun activities to help you learn to row.

• Having learnt the basic skills the crews will take part in a timed crane race to get the full rowing crew experience.

No experience is needed, just bring yourselves! We have all the kit you need. Please note that participants cannot go onto the water if they have consumed alcohol or other substances.
